From Silence to Strength
Securing fast, free high quality private mental services for young people in need.
About Cabhair
Cabhair is a Bray-based charity founded in 2025.
We work with youth-based organisations like sports clubs, schools and youth groups to help them make free, fast mental health services available to the young people of Bray.
Our committee is made up of volunteers working and/or living in the Bray area who believe more should be done for young people struggling with their mental health.

The Need
Cabhair has identified a real need for on-demand free counselling services for young people struggling with their mental health. While charities and others do offer high quality supports, there is often a lengthy wait involved before in-person therapy is provided. This can often stretch to several months.
At Cabhair, we believe this sends the wrong signal to young people in the midst of a mental health crisis. More needs to be done.

How it Works
Cabhair has tied in with a number of local organisations to date and just months after being established, we now make therapy services available to over 500 people.
If a group wants to work with Cabhair, we invite them to our fundraisers and help them run their own. The money raised is then used to pay for therapy services which the young people they work with can avail of.

No Wages, No Costs
While many other charities pay excessive wages to management, Cabhair is different. We are all volunteers. Every penny raised goes direct to end users. It's a model we believe gets the best value for money for those who donate.
